Finding Fish in Boziliao is an interactive experience that combines community workshops with augmented reality (AR). Through the creative participation of residents and visitors, hand-drawn artworks are transformed into digital fish that inhabit an AR world, creating a hybrid environment shaped collectively by the community. During the workshop, participants draw their own fish, and the system translates each painting into the appearance of a fish in AR. At designated locations in Boziliao, visitors can activate the experience to see these fish swimming through a virtual ocean, interact with others’ creations, and take photos together. Rather than simply presenting local culture, the project allows it to be co-created through making and interaction.
