2022Project Overview
Share Table is a smart kitchen interaction system designed for families living apart, and a speculative vision of how domestic life might evolve in the future. Developed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project responds to a time when distance and isolation made everyday moments of togetherness harder to sustain. Through a kitchen island display, wearable devices, and WebRTC real-time communication, family members in different locations can cook and dine together, sharing cooking progress, bodily rhythms, and a sense of presence across spaces. The project reimagines how technology might support intimacy, care, and connection within the home. The project was awarded the Japan Good Design Award in 2022.
